The 2009 football team finishes another outstanding year. This team continually demonstrated their ability to never give up or give in.  These seniors have carried on the winning tradition by compiling a 3 year mark of (26-8) while losing only 2 home games in their careers. The seniors will always be loved and respected for their accomplishments both on and off the field.  We wish them the best always!!

Wildcat Stepping Stones (Pavers) Wall Pavers and Spirit Bricks
The football team will be selling wildcat garden stepping stones (Pavers).  The pavers are 18" x 18" x 2", weigh approximately 40-45lbs, and will be sold at a cost of $30.00.  We need a minimum of 25 to order these.  We are also considering selling wall pavers (marble) to be affixed to the field house and spirit bricks to go in the asphalt in front of the field house.  More information on the wall pavers and spirit bricks ASAP.

Antwon Appleton (1st Team All Conference)
Senior slot back Jordan Hazard and sophomore Antwon Appleton rounded out Shorter's first team selections.
The speedy Appleton was a perfect compliment to the inside power of Cooley. The Fort Payne, Ala., native rushed for 758 yards and six touchdowns, picking up 8.6 yards each time he carried the football. He ranked fourth in the Mid-South in rushing yards per game (68.9) and picked up a career-high 129 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries against LaGrange College. Appleton was a viable option in the passing game as well, snaring five passes for 85 yards and one score.
